Wow. I couldn't agree less with Andrew's rather odd review. I thought the point was that the title was a joke in itself. How can you really define humour? It's impossible. The interviewees made great play of this in the opening segment. However there are great pointers to enjoying comedy. The book is also part of a series of instructional audiobooks and was therefore playing off this brand. I thoroughly enjoyed it and as a huge comedy fan couldn't fault the quality of speaker involved. I didn't give it 5 stars however as no women were interviewed. An idea for a future book perhaps?

How To Be Funny

This book really isn't worth very much.

The book does have the merit of interviewing some good comedy writers but I finished listening somewhat bewildered as to the writer's aim and his choice of title.

This piece is moderately interesting and probably worthy of a 30 minute slot on Radio 4 but I don't think it is worth buying.
