Just lovely!
As a huge Agatha Christie fan I was a bit hesitant to read these but they're just so good! Brilliantly narrated and good fun.

So engaging.
I love these books. Penelope Keith has a wonderful soothing and engaging voice. The storyline stood up to scrutiny but was not too harsh or too serious. I confess I discovered the television series first (which I also adore) but the books are just as good. A perfect listen on a lazy Sunday or throughout the limbo period between Christmas and New Year. To be honest I think I would listen to these at anytime.

Awful old fashioned narration.
Excellent story, but the narrator sounded like someone from the old school BBC “wireless” days!
Couldn’t get into the story, Agatha sounded frigid and awful. Shame as the story is quite good. Have ordered the book instead

Gripping tale village murder
A jolly good tale! Having only just discovered the Agatha Raisin series I'm enthralled and enjoying every moment of M. C. Beaton's bumptious but well intended self styled lady detective. Read to exactly the right degree of perfection by Penelope Keith.

The first of many
I enjoyed this book but then I’m a fan of MC Beaton. This is the first book of the Agatha Raisin series. A great book to listen to and enjoy. Penelope Keith at her best.
