Summary

Eve Duncan returns in a thriller that pits her against the most evil mind she has ever encountered: a ruthless killer who taunts her with his every move...and who has a special affinity for blood. When a Georgia senator's daughter is found murdered, and her body drained of blood, Eve Duncan is drawn into the web of Kevin Jelak - a serial murderer who is on Eve's short list of killers who might know something about her missing daughter Bonnie. When a goblet of blood is found in Eve's refrigerator, she knows the taunting is over...and the games have begun.
As Eve and Jelak engage in a dance of death, Eve must call upon those she loves and trusts the most...even if it means bringing them into the game as well.
Investigate another case with Eve Duncan.

Dissappointing & Annoying

I'm a fan of Iris Johansen and the Eve Duncan books. However, I could hardly get through this audio book. I knew within the first couple of minutes - the narrator's voice was like nails on a chalkboard. In my opinion, she sounded like an old, nasty school teacher. She gave everyone (except maybe Bonnie) a bitter, nasty, hateful voice (especially Joe).

The storyline was ridiculous. I kept thinking to myself - why am I listening to this???? (Okay, maybe better than the static on the radio while travelling - but not much better). Joe takes on such a spoiled brat persona (could be the narrator though that helps portray this image). Without giving anything away to readers who may enjoy (??) the book, I just want to say that maybe it's time to retire the Eve Duncan books and move onto something else. Seems like the author is out of good storylines. Don't waste your money or your book credits.
