It's been done

I wasn't a huge fan of this. I had been looking forward to "a dark story" as assured by another reviewer but what I ended up with was a poorly written, dull version of a good marriage just with additional points of view

A very dark book.

Having read this authors work previously, I'd expected something similar in the vein of the traditional ghost story, however this is a much darker offering and rather disturbing but utterly impressive. Well written and constructed, and could continue on from where Ashforth left off. Highly recommend but PLEASE publish this in paperback istead of just electronically!!!!! Audiobooks are fun. E-books suck.

Four tales told, but really just one dark story.

Would you listen to Church Farm House again? Why?

As with most ghost stories, benefit from being told.this is no exception, a chilling tale not without it's faults.but well worth a second or third listen

Would you be willing to try another book from Benedict Ashforth? Why or why not?

yes, have already purchased all that audible has.

Have you listened to any of the narrators’s other performances? How does this one compare?

the 3 narrators tell the story well, with the voices being neither too hyper or too monotone.
Each narrator tells a different part of the story

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

it's a chilling, grisly story, but never graphic or too disturbing

Any additional comments?

This is not strictly a ghost story although it has those elements, more a decent into a madness told from it's different participants.Think POE rather than M R James, but within recent history (1970's to present day)

Very clever

Unexpected and clever, not the ending I thought was inevitable. Will watch this author.

A fantastic collection of stories.

These interlinking stories are well-written, and highly enjoyable. They tell the story of a farmhouse and the families that live there over the years.

very well read but gruesome!

This story is well written and very well read. Having said that, it was more a gruesome horror story than a ghost story in the true sense, so be warned! If you don't want to be made to feel uncomfortable, then don't listen to it.

If you do want to read it, then don't read it at night, especially if you are alone.

Great content

Loved these short stories, a great little series. Narrator definitely suited this genre. Would love to read more like this.
