Summary

It's not easy being a good detective - when your brother's a serial killer.

Sam Blue stands accused of the brutal murders of three young students, their bodies dumped near the Georges River. Only one person believes he is innocent: his sister, Detective Harriet Blue. And she's determined to prove it.

Except she's now been banished to the outback town of Last Chance Valley (population 75), where a diary found on the roadside outlines a shocking plan - the massacre of the entire town. And the first death, shortly after Harry's arrival, suggests the clock is already ticking.

Meanwhile, back in Sydney, a young woman holds the key to crack Sam's case wide open. If only she could escape the madman holding her hostage....

Can’t stop reading these books !

I say reading but this is actually the first time I’ve listened to a book as I couldn’t wait to see what happened next to Harry & Sam ! Brilliant !! I loved it !! I had flu & lay in bed just letting the story flow !! It’s the minute detail that paints a scene in your mind & I can’t wait to read the next one . Thank you

found this book hard going, did not grip me like the usual James's Patterson plus 2nd writer usually do.

Good story -irritating voice

The usual gripping drama I expect from a James Patterson book. Although I guessed the perp in Last Chance. No spoiler!

The narration was irritating, although the reader spoke clearly and didn’t mispronounce words I found her particular Australian accent very whiny and monotonous. I have enjoyed other Australian readers, just didn’t get on with this one.

Harriet. Blue Again!

This is the second book in the Harriet Blue series and a worthy successor to the first.
The storyline followed a familiar path of Harriet being sent to the back of beyond to keep her from meddling in her brothers case but once again to no avail.
The main tale was a good story which had enough action, with Harriet getting into boxing matches with anyone that tried to stand in her way. Along with this was a back story of her friends trying to discover her brothers innocence or guilt in the major crime of the day.
At times I thought that there was a little too much switching between stories but overall it kept me listening.
I enjoyed the narration and the voice was bright and toneful which kept me listening and I got the book finished within a week, which is fast for me.

Great App.

Great choice of books, narration is always good, I don't think I will ever read a book again, what's the point when I have this.

Worst James Patterson book

If this book wasn’t for you, who do you think might enjoy it more?

Hard to say.

What was most disappointing about James Patterson’s story?

Predictable and unexciting.

How could the performance have been better?

The narrator for me made the story worse.

You didn’t love this book--but did it have any redeeming qualities?

I love James Patterson and have been an avid reader for years, I was very disappointed with this book.
