Summary

A gunman is at large, stalking the halls of a local hospital. No one knows who he is or why he is there, and the best men in the force have been tasked to stop him.

Among them is Aden, determined to do the right thing. For hospital psychologist Imogen, weighed down by troubles of her own, the presence of the gunman seems to have little to do with her, but she couldn’t be more wrong....

"Dark, tense and convincing, this is a brilliantly executed and engrossing thriller. An extremely assured debut." ( Sunday Mirror)

Hmmmm

I was very excited to listen to this book but found the jumping around of data too much. This is as muchof a problem for me as the story was good. Someone recommended writing a synopsis which defeats listening!

Confused all the way through

Don't waste your time or money it was tedious to listen to & I am still no wiser regarding two of the characters. It was such a great opening then it went downhill. I keep repeating the same phrase in my sleep " the day before the shooting' OMG never again

Bit of a mess

To be honest I found this a bit of a mess, there were just far too many switches in narrative to characters that I just did not care about. There were also ambiguous references to timelines that meant is was often impossible to know exactly which period the current passage referred to.

In the end it became one of those books that I just wanted to be over rather than wanting it to continue for ever which probably says all you need to know.

Worth 5 stars for originality!

Would you listen to Hidden again? Why?

Have already listened to it 3 times, love it.

Any additional comments?

Can't understand why this book doesn't have higher ratings. I've bought some books given heaps of 5 star ratings, and found them to be so bad, I've returned them. Perhaps it's just me, but this book is great. I do understand that it's easy to lose track of chronology with all the timeline changes, but it's well worth bearing with it - I found it a real cliff-hanger and quite different from the usual thriller.
