Audible Editor Reviews

One of the most terrifying, realistic and suspenseful books you'll ever listen to. Robert Guillaume gives a chilling performance. This is not a title I suggest you listen to alone. (Justin M.)

Great, suspenseful stroy - pity it's abridged!

Although I did enjoy listening to this story, the fact that it's abridged does spoil it a bit. In several places there is a jump in the narrative where you realise that, in the full version of the text, a whole episode will have been fully fleshed out; you get a sense that you're missing out on something. This has the effect of the audiobook losing a sense of the developing tension and suspense, which is an essential element in enjoying thrillers. In the end I wished I'd read the book instead of listening to the shortened version.
