Summary

Something big is coming...big enough to destroy the entire solar system...and it's heading straight for Earth. That's what Dr. Ben Rollins, head of Harvard's exoplanet research team, is told by NASA after being dragged out of bed in the middle of the night. His first instinct is to call his daughter and wife, who are vacationing in Italy: Something is coming, he tells them, a hundred times the mass of our sun. We can't see it, we don't know what it is, but it's there. They're calling it Nomad, and it's coming fast. In just a few months, the Earth may be destroyed.

The world erupts into chaos as the end approaches - and Ben discovers that his wife and daughter are trapped in Italy. The key to humanity's survival may rest in the final answers he pieces together in the midst of his frantic scramble to find his family before Nomad swallows the planet.

One of the best !!!

Because its a four books series and all my reviews will pretty much the same for each of them, I’ve decided to write one review for all and copy / paste it to all four after I complete listening to the complete series.

One of my favorite ever the Author Matthew Mather is really awesome when it comes to science fiction.
The same talent he used with Nomad that for sure, truly a masterpiece a beautiful series but for an unknown reason it feels like it’s missing one more book to finish the series, its just feels incomplete.
Choosing the Narrator: Keith Szarabajka was without a doubt perfection.

And without a doubt this
Series
Got my full recommendation !

Hell's teeth, so much misery!

Plodded through this , but couldn't finish it in the end. Life is depressing enough without this

Good Fun

I tiny bit far fetched but good fun. Sort of listen for a beach holiday. Good news there is a follow up too. Happy listening for those that don't want anything taxing.

Enjoyed this and as included free, a double bonus

Enjoyable disaster tale. Characters are bit indulgent but the story kept my attention.
Now on to book 2

Good fun apocalypse

A well read and very well written apocalypse story with some sound science behind it.

Great story shame about the narrator

Story great. Some plot features a bit obvious but kept me listening to find out if I was right! Science base really well done.

Narrator’s accents terrible so that introduced unnecessary humour - particularly the British and Australian accents.

70s disaster movie vibe

Soap opera+apocalypse+awful main character = avoid.
Had to finish just in case it improved.

5h to go... and I cannot wait till mother - Celest

will be eliminated in any way
rest of story it's ok or little bit less than ok but barrable, mother character is the most irritating...
I'm walking a dog and listen this book and almost with every time when mother say something you can hear me "#?*# Jesus!" shouting to myself...

3h to go and it's more and more ridiculous... I'm asking myself why I'm still listening it... maybe to check how bad it will go... like 10 different books and genders mixed up... few sentences it's s-f, 3 next sentence 50shades of Gray, next few words from Daniel Steel, next criminal/dark next conspiracy theory...
nobody really knows what's going on... and Godfather is there too
OMFG

it's sound almost like good comedy but I think it's only what is missing here is humour

maybe something nice for me would come out if Douglas Adams would work on it, but I'll afraid this is not possible anymore...

I finish... I still alive, and I think narrator keep me till end, normal English is great, hate his feminine voices and accents but he have very nice voice pleasant to listen, it would be even nicer if book would be better build, characters more believable

Convincingly Over the Top

The characters seem unnatural and the plot details insincere. The effort to create suspense is very weak. A shame. Narrator seems okay.
