By Timothy Steve!
Another Great collection of Paul Temple, Steve, Charlie & Sir Graham!
Ok, yes they are new remakes of the originals. However they have all the feel of the Golden Days of Crime Radio.
This is a must for any Paul Temple Fan! Or anyone who just wants to hear a "Proper" crime thriller!

Enjoyable, However....
This version of Paul Temple seems harsher and more bullying than of old, at least in the first 3 stories. In the remake of The Gregory Affair, the actor's approach to Paul Temple matches the original and he's much more charming and not quite as condescending. This may be down to differences in the scripts rather than differences in performance, but it made the first 3 stories much harder to listen to.

Poor copy of original series
Unfortunately a lot of overacting. Paul rather bullish and not suave as originals. Steve very wimpy and whinny - not like the original. At the beginning of each episode there is a long recap. Very disappointing. Would not buy any more episodes read by these actors

A remake you can't tell is a remake
This collection of stories remade by the BBC is so well made, that one forgets it is not originally from the 50's and 60's. Really good stories, adventures that keep you entertained and a body count to rival most James Patterson books... However, the humour and treatment of the female characters (particularly Steve) hasn't been updated at all and some listeners might struggle with the dated feel. If you are a fan of the originals, this is perfect and if you love a good yarn in the ilk of The 39 Steps, give it a go.

Classic and Best of Paul Temple
Yes, these are dated characters, plots and attitudes, but I can't help but love the plot lines. This is one of the best collections and very worth it for fans of a good 'crime story' - less violence and gore, more focus on a good twist in the tale. If you like an Agatha Christie, I suggest trying these too. Plus these were written as radio dramas as opposed to a book so they are a good 'Audible' experience.

Great series. Well worth listening to
Great series, Crawford Logan does well at sounding like Peter Coke, but just misses the mark.
Overall a great listen if you love listening to retro Radio series

Good stories but...
Badly edited and recording corrupted at Chap 37 when it jumps and misses text. OK again at Chap 39.

The stories
I find the music extremely irritating between each episode , I’m sure that is could be taken out of the recording now . The stories are dated but good fun . Light listening taking you back in time . In fact I think I’ll have a cocktail now
