Terrible, lacks complexity and boring

Anyone who is used to Michael Connelly, Harlan Coben, Jo Nesbo, Lee Child et al will not like this. Thin plot which you expect will get clever any moment but it doesn't. I listened because there seem to be Alex Cross fans out there but I'm not sure why. His character is possibly the most boring detective I have ever read or listened to.Give me Harry Bosch any time.

terrible

The reader of this book sounds like he is making a dirty phone call! Is probably a cracking story but this guy is driving me to distraction.

So So Book-ahhhhhh

I thought the plot was good and characters were interesting. I didn't think this is one of his best. My main complaint was the narrator. I had a hard time listening because he finished his sentences was a annoying ahhhhhhh. Good book-ahhhhhhh. Bad narrator-ahhhhhh. I recommend it if you can put up with the ahhhhhs.

Agree-aaahhh

True James Patterson style. However, it is a better read than a listen. I agree with the other reviewer, the aahh's are annoying and take away from the plot and characters greatly. Other narrators for his books are light years better.
