Summary

Jason Bourne takes a mission to rescue his only friend in the CIA, Martin Lindros, who disappeared in Africa while tracking shipments of yellowcake uranium. Once safely back in America, Lindros persuades Bourne to help track the money trail of terrorists buying the nuclear material.

Bourne agrees - but soon suffers from confusing flashbacks of unfamiliar places and events. Is someone brainwashing him in order to throw him off the trail? Worse still, is the man he saved really Martin Lindros? Now Bourne is on his own - gathering evidence, while trying to stay one step ahead of the terrorists who are determined to destroy the USA.

Good story ruined by being abridged

If you're listening to the series book by book then you've no choice other than listen to this abridged version as its the only one available.

This download proves why you should only every listen to unabridged recordings.

The reader/speaker is very good and brilliant with the many voices but the story jumps around too much without the natural flow that you'd get in an unabridged version.

Good story and you'll get through it to be loyal to the series to move on to the next book.

An already story

A very predictable story line with little intrigue. A departure from the character on the big screen

This seemed to be an abridged verion

As the other reviews have pointed out, this seems to be an abridged version of the book and feels very disjointed.

The Bourne Betrayal

A perfect example of how to ruin a good book and story. The music is unnecessary and distracting, the abridgeing left the story jumpimg from one place to another making it hard to follow and damaging the credability of the story. Posibly the worsed Audio book I have ever listened to.

Disappointing

A very linear story-line with, sorry, no surprises and little of the excitement of the Bourne Legacy.

It was ok

I was really looking forward to this book, the story was all over the place and I did not like the sound effects

very disjointed

It felt like I was listening to an abridged recording and to make it worse there was oddly in appropriate music all over the place.

What a Shocker!

Not what we've come to expect from the Bourne franchise. Mr Ludlum must be turning in his grave.
The story line is so far fetched that it is laughable. Talk about suspend your disbelief, mine has gone out and hung itself!
The narration is dull and the accents were interesting to say the least, especially the Scottish Ukrainian.
The producers have tried to divert us from all this with sound effects, reverb and music.
I suppose you just have to hear it to believe it. Maybe it is destined for cult status.

Worst one yet.

This was far fetched even for Bourne and if you’re not familiar with Arabic names it’s too easy to lose track of the characters.
