Summary

Fate in plain sight.
Major Crimes Detective Samantha Reilly prefers to work alone - she's seen as a maverick, and she still struggles privately with the death of her partner. The only person who ever sees her softer side is Michael Turcotte, a teenager she's known since she rescued him 11 years ago from the aftermath of his parents' murder-suicide.
In foster care since his parents' death, Michael is a loner who tries to fly under the bullies' radar, but a violent assault triggers a disturbing ability to view people's dark futures. No one believes his first vision means anything, though - not even Sam Reilly. When reality mimics his prediction, however, Sam isn't the only one to take notice. A strange girl named Tessa Masterson asks Michael about her future, and what he sees sends him back to Sam - is Tessa victim or perpetrator?

Good but graphic!

This was a very professional sounding audiobook and I mean that in a good way. It went much further into graphic and gross details than I am comfortable with, though. The set up was very interesting with the paranormal element being believable (at least for me) and I am always a fan of mysteries that don't have romance as the glue. It was predictable but perhaps it should have been since it's about a clairvoyant kid.
I am pretty sure I would listen to another by this author and it would not be quite so jarring since I could be more prepared for the gore. It definitely held my interest and I eagerly went back to it even though I was grossed out and more than a little disturbed by some of the visions.
The narrator was spot on. Perfect. She really gave the novel a professional sound.
I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.

Seeing evil

What was one of the most memorable moments of Seeing Evil?

This novel is a mystery with a psychic twist that had me interested. It may even be considered as part of the horror genre. Monsters come in all shapes and sizes and the human kind are the worst. Seeing Evil has its share of evil of the two legged kind.Very good story
