I received this book FREE, I only gave 4 stars because It is a short story. But it has a beginning, middle and an end which is satisfactory.
A bit gory in places but keeps you alert all the way through. Very good.
A nice Audio narration too.
In this second book to the Serenity series there is a serial killer in the loose. The man moves around quite a bit, never staying in one place for too long. He moves each time after he's committed enough murders that people are beginning to get suspicious and before eyes fall on him he's gone. In this book he kills a family of three, makes it look like a home invasion. He then sets his sights on Carly, Shelby Alexander's young girlfriend (she's about the same age as his daughter). There's some cat and mouse play with her and the killer thinks he's falling in love with Carly but... he has to get Alexander out of the picture.
This is a busy story, great characters with lots of reminiscing about past kills, scheming about future kills and plans to stay safe.
Theo Holland does a great job narrating.
I RECOMMEND this novella
