Tasked to work together again to investigate the $100 million trade in illegal Chinese immigrants that led to the tragedy in Texas, they discover that the immigrants were unwitting carriers of a deadly cargo. simon Vance narration excellent.

I love Peter May’s writing, and was dubious about a “new” narrator, after listening to many masterful performances by Peter Forbes. I was, therefore, very pleasantly surprised by Simon Vance’s performance, which was really excellent. The characters stayed true to my image ofthem, formed in the other novels , narrated by Peter Forbes. I enjoy both narrators, and will continue to enjoy further works by both Peter May, Peter Forbes and Simon Vance.
This story, has a wonderful array of plots, sub plots and characters. I recommend it as a great listen.
