A wild ride of a story.

This book was gripping enough to listen to in two sittings. A complex story that sometimes lack credibility, as a one woman end pc takes on the whole of the north west mafia doing incredible things, making her bosses look inadequate and getting away with gross insubordination ! A bit unrealistic in today's police force I suspect, but it makes entertaining listening and if you allow for dramatic licence I'm sure you'll enjoy this tale. The narrator was good but eventually the Manchester accents became rather tedious.

Just Brilliant!

Engrossing, intriguing and a damn fine tale. Expertly crafted narrative with only an odd predictable twist in the tale. But even then it wasn't obvious

what the f...!

Should have known better when the book was described as typical British police thriller, but there were no reviews warning against the crude language in this novel by Paul Finch, so desperate for a good psychological thriller, I took a chance. big mistake.
Starts of with a rookie heroine who has a female sidekick named Peabody (like Robb's Eve) and she rides a monster of a motorbike( Jane Yellowrock). so nothing original.
Definitely not for discerning readers who read a lot and who do not appreciate f words and omg used repeatedly by most characters.

Audible versions are often expensive and I would appreciate being warned of foul language. Could not finish the book.
