Incredibly Comforting

Like an old friend, Hugh Fraser lets you relax comfortably in your favourite arm chair as he regales you with familiar tales. A perfect antidote to the rush and bustle of the festive season. Escape from crowds or parties to your own fireside and into these stories; bring a mug of something steaming or a glass of something warming and you'll feel returned to the equilibrium we crave in the bleakest of mid-winters.

Hastings read Poirot.

What could be better than the definitive Hastings reading Agatha Christie's famous detective!

Great stories, excellently told

I loved having Hugh Fraser read these, I think listening to this might become an annual Christmas tradition.

Love this collection of short stories

Long enough to tell a good tale but short enough not to get too convoluted. Well done Hugh Fraser for his voices.

Outstandingly good narration, festive fun for all!

Hugh Fraser excels, gliding from one character to another seamlessly. He manages to make each voice distinctly recognisable whilst being believable.

This collection of five puzzling plots is a lovely listen & even if you think you remember them from the tv series, they're not exactly the same, so don't think you know who or how it was done!

First published in 1960, there's a few fun descriptions alluding to beatniks. I wish Audible would state the original dates of these books, as it can be really confusing not knowing in which of the seven decades of Christies career the book you're listening to is set. 1920s post WWI is very different from Britain in 1975! Plus, differing views on marriage, divorce etc makes for different motives for murder.

Love the stories and performances

Wonderful! Wished all the Stories would have all been Christmas themed but Hugh Fraser does a superb job with each story.
