He thought his final assignment would be simple: Transport a package from Japan to Amsterdam. But for Orlando's mentor, Abraham, the job was not at all like he expected and ended up haunting him. Seven years later, Quinn and Orlando know something is up when Abraham asks for a favor. At his age, he should be sitting on a beach, enjoying his retirement, not working. After he tells them of his search for the last package he ever delivered, they help him unravel the truth, but soon realize they can't simply look for answers. They must also protect the package, no matter the cost. They just need to find it first.

This one is too good to DISCARD :>

Would you listen to The Discarded again? Why?

Yes. This was soooo good. I didn't think Brett Battles could top The ENRAGED but I think he has at least written it's equal. I've relistened to Allthe others so will do the same with this one.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Oh Yes! And you are on the edge until the very end.

Which character – as performed by Scott Brick – was your favorite?

All! Silly question, Scott Brick is one of my two favorite narrators, so as always he read the book perfectly. Thank You.

Any additional comments?

As I have found with All the Jonathan Quinn books this one takes off within the first few minutes and then it proves to be a wild ride right up to the end. There is a little 4 year old girl who Orlando's mentor transported 7 years earlier and her fate has bothered Abraham since. It takes the entire book (almost) before you find out who, what, when, where, how and why. But oh the journey to get there keeps your heart tripping along. I turned this on this morning and have not turned it off once today, I had to get to the end. I only wish it were longer but then I would have just stayed up all night. This is just good. There is some great character development in here, the continuing relationships develope further, some really funny bantering between Nate and Jonathan and some unknown background (Daeng sp?) is revealed. Well written and I hope it doesn't take too long for the next book.
