Great book--distracting narrator

Where does The Grub-and-Stakers Quilt a Bee rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Middle of the pack.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I love all the characters in this series. :)

What didn’t you like about Lory Reyes’s performance?

She tried to make each character distinctive, but erred on the side of making them caricature: the main character Dittany was performed as being so timid that every one of her sentences is a question; other characters had such exaggerated accents to the point of seeming prejudiced and insulting. This is one of my favorite series but I would be embarrassed to recommend this audiobook to a friend. Lori may think she is Jim Dale, but she isn't.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Murder can be fun!

Any additional comments?

I really appreciate Charlotte MacLeod's books being released on audiobook (as well as Kindle) but I wish they had invested a little more and got a professional narrator.
