Summary
It's summer in Memphis. The sweat is sticking to Rudy Baylor's shirt and creditors are nipping at his heels. Once he had aspirations of breezing through law school and punching his ticket to the good life. Slow and steady
I enjoyed this. It works as an audible story because when being read to, somehow a steady story is soothing and a great pleasure. It has its highlights, but generally unfolds with a smooth rhythm. I appreciate logical storytelling, and there is never a point when you think, now hang on a minute. It all makes sense, and justice is satisfactorily served.

I loved every minute and every detail. Splendid narration. Another lovely work from Grisham.

Favourite Grisham so far
Vivid characters and situations. Tense and humorous in turn with a narrator I really enjoyed.

Retro look into a Grisham classic - prophetic
What made the experience of listening to The Rainmaker the most enjoyable?
As an ex law student, the arc of the story seemed to have some personal elements. I understand the anguish of the character and very much enjoyed where this story ended up.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Rainmaker?
Difficult to answer without giving spoilers away. In a book with over 50 chapters it is impossible to give a fair answer.
Which character – as performed by Frank Muller – was your favourite?
The narration was well performed over a long book.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Impossible to listen to in one session.

One of his best.

One of his best and wonderfully narrated

Frank Muller's narration is outstanding and all the characters are real when read by him.

I love John Grisham anyway but Frank Muller's beautiful voice, gentle but strong, is perfect for this book. I will straight away look for other titles narrated by him.
