Summary

A Richard and Judy Summer Read selection. A teenage computer prodigy is mortally strangled in Mumbai. A far-right extremist is killed in a remote cabin in the Pacific Northwest. A wealthy businessman is murdered in Thailand. A pimp in Brooklyn is found stabbed to death and mysteriously covered by a brown shroud. What connects the victims is an ancient prophecy that leads to the end of the world, and it's up to Will Monroe, a fledgling reporter at the New York Times, to stop it.

Critic reviews

"More thrills as British-born reporter Will Monroe whose investigation of a series of global killings gets his wife, Beth, kidnapped. Biblical clues, an ultra-orthodox religious group, secrets within secrets and a race against time may be as hokey as all get out ¿ but Sam Bourne¿s The Righteous Men is terrific suspend-your-disbelief listening ¿ especially with the supremely talented Kerry Shale¿s doing the reading." ( Daily Express)
."The best thriller I've read in years." (Piers Morgan)
"The biggest challenger to Dan Brown's crown...a highly charged, theologically accurate tale." ( Mirror)

Ridiculous performance makes this a hard listen!

The story is not compelling enough to put up with the voice acting, which is off-putting. I remember reading this in print a while ago and now remember why I never finished it, the plot is bizarre and a little implausible!

Narrator may spoil it

Couldn't take the narrator's British accent too seriously which hampered any broad love for the content. Sorry!
