Summary

Ashton is just a typical small town. But when a skeptical reporter and a prayerful pastor begin to compare notes, they suddenly find themselves fighting a hideous New Age plot to subjugate the townspeople, and eventually the entire human race.

Great For Learning the Spiritual World

Very good book. Especially for people who need to learn about the reality of the spiritual world. Great for younger ones teenage years are perfect. Author and narrator (same guy) very good indeed. Good and realistic sound effects.

Terrible background music

The constant music and awful sound affects made this book impossible to listen to.
I have read the book before and is an interesting perspective on the spiritual, but why the background noise!!!

Not what I expected

I wanted the full novel, but this is summaries of each chapter. It still tells the story, but did not meet my expectations. Would not have purchased had I known, should have looked closer at the description.

Frank E. Peretti is one talented individual

If you could sum up This Present Darkness in three words, what would they be?

Entertaining, captivating, thrilling

Who was your favorite character and why?

Sad to say but my favorite character was Rafar Prince of Babylon. Frank does his voice so well. When he speaks you listen.

What does Frank E. Peretti bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Each characters voice is well executed. I would run at night while listening to this book, and there were times I was frightened.

If you could take any character from This Present Darkness out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Marshall Hogan. Because that man leads an interesting life.

Any additional comments?

This audiobook might seem old school, but it's well worth the money. It was well done and is still holding its weight today.
