A cut above

I really enjoyed this book. The characters are finely drawn and believable. Although it is not exactly a whodunnit, as you know from the start nearly, it does have some twists and turns. The narration was very good and Andrew Wincott brought them to life perfectly.

A first - and not in a good way

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

This is the first time I've given up on an audiobook. I didn't want to spend any more time with the drunken junkie private investigator or the rest of the unsavoury lowlifes in this dull book.
Andrew Wincott, the narrator, has a beautiful voice but his performance - particularly of the female characters - soon began to grate.
A complete waste of time and money.
