Very insightful. Similar to Maimonides' Guide for the Perplexed, provides rational arguments to validate the bible mythology.

Wonderfully illuminating and stimulating
If you could sum up Discovering Genesis in three words, what would they be?
Illuminating, exhilarating, insightful
What did you like best about this story?
Dr. Neiman makes sense of many things in the Old Testament that I had glossed over as being of little meaning to us today. He makes many connections with evidence from other traditions and from archaeology that I had only known as dry facts.
Have you listened to any of David Neiman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes, he is a wonderful lecturer.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, I could hardly put it down.
Any additional comments?
Dr.Neiman was one of those scholars of the old school who make me regret not having the qualities necessary to become one. With a vast store of knowledge in their minds, they are able to draw together divers elements into a rich and dense web of understanding. To partake of such understanding is both enlightening and exhilarating. I am truly grateful that Dr.Neiman's lectures are available now as audiobooks; they are among those things that make me happy to be alive today.
