Summary

Gamers are celebrities. Superstars. Idols to the masses. Only a few ever make it out of Piper's Mill, most toil their lives away in the small town just dreaming of a better life. Liam thought he had a comfortable life all worked out when it winds up wrenched away from him. Drawn into other's schemes to hack the game and steal some spotlight he never expects to find himself playing in a game nobody has ever heard of. He never expects to find himself deep in a dungeon at level one with no gear and barely any skills. He certainly would never anticipate suddenly being tied to forces that promise not just to reshape his life, but the world outside the game. Time to level up.

Interesting story line and action

What made the experience of listening to Dungeon Crawl the most enjoyable?

This appears to be a simple dungeon crawl story, but it actually is from a more evil side of life. It would be worth saying it is perhaps a more selfish side of life than evil. Interesting story for a dungeon crawl and the plot is developing so I look forward to seeing how it goes.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The timing of the speaking was poor from the narrator. If slowed does to 0.75, which I listened to it at it sounded all the time like the narrator was slightly worse for wear for drink. at 1 it was a bit fast to listen to and seemed breathless.

This needs a lot more work as it is the good tale/yarn that keep me on the tale, not the narration. In fact half the time I read the story rather than listen to the narrator.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Not really I have read other books whilst this was on, though I was keen to see the story arc and how the tale ended. I do very much like the book.
