Standards are the foundation of our educational systems today. Fairness, rigor, and high achievement for all students are the focus of standards-based schools. Any additional comments?

Again, this book wasn't relevant to me as I'm not from the U.S.A.nor am I involved with schools but I still found it a little interesting to hear thoughts on how children should be taught.
