Summary

Truthfully, when you start your teaching career, it won't be your knowledge of content that keeps you up at night. It won't be your mastery of the latest technology. It won't even be the standardized tests. All of those can and do pose challenges, but the one thing even the best education program can't prepare you for are the kids. That's where this book comes into play. Time Out for Teachers is a chance to share some of one music teacher's honest experiences with kiddos. The good, the bad, and sometimes the ugly moments are all here, waiting for you to discover what teaching is all about.

Interesting even though I'm not a teacher.

Where does Time out for Teachers rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Not the best but nearer the top than the bottom of my list of books read.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I don't have one.

What does Judy Rounda bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Can't answer that as I've only listened to it.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

No.

Any additional comments?

Whilst this book didn't make me want to become a teache, I found it very interesting. I enjoyed reading the stories of various pupukls she'd come across, and also how she dealt with the many and varied situations she had to face. It was enlightening seeing inside her head.
