The best book of a truly classic sci-fi series
I have read the series many times but have not had the pleasure of listening to it. I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook.

Great narration.
Again I'm very happy with all the narration. This series is one of my personal favourites so the fact that the narration is great really helps.

Powerful end to an epic trilogy.
Great characters and story set across an epic scope, but it will need your full attention. it's easy to miss key parts of the plot. Be warned.

Amazing, they just get better and better
After having ignored the popularity of this series for many years, having seen the original movie when it came out years ago and the remake of it more recently by I was intrigued enough by the latter to pick up the first book of the series of which the film only gives us half the story within. Finishing it I was hooked and with this book, the 3rd of the series, I find that starting from great each book thus far improves on the previous and leads me to regret not having read them all much sooner. Fantastic reads all.

balance of action and pacing
excellent conclusion to the first arch in the dune universe. everything seemed right in it's direction and pacing to the way loose ends had been tied off. amongst the best sci-fi ever written

WOW!
What a fantastic trilogy! it's taken me a long time to get round to get started with it, wish I had done so sooner. An absolute masterpiece of a story, highly recommend it to anyone!

A great listen
I won't say much.
The start of the book is a bit off for some reason - at least for me. About an hour in is where it grabbed me and it hold me there for over 10 hours straight. Great book overall, with an interesting ending. I'll see you at the next book in the series.

Change
To say Herbert writes well is like saying Newton was clever. Honestly brilliant in its complexity from human nature and connection within and beyond ourselves. Herbert also makes interesting points on how adversity is required to help society progress, and how long term vision and flexibility is required to pull the species forward. And yet he also points out that one must not change to much too quickly, without considering the consequences or such change on society and ecological systems, both are of course entwined. Whilst probably accidental it pertains significantly to our current issues in politics and there environmental impacts.
