Three cutting-edge writers explore the high-wire risk of having a sexual wish come true. In "Jodi K", by Jill Soloway, the award-winning writer/producer of Six Feet Under, a suburban teenager is a skeptical part of every high school make-out scene, but her heart is fixed on the middle-aged man next door. "Charmed, I'm Sure", by Eric Albert, a frequent contributor to Best American Erotica, tells of a single man who enters into a contract with a modern-day witch and finds there are unforeseen complications even in the most magical seductions. The young woman in "Bending", by Greta Christina, the author of Paying for It, can't seem to find an alternative sexual position...until her friends and lovers come up with a scheme that opens her up, literally, to her real needs and desires. Includes an introduction written and read by Susie Bright. For Adults Only: Explicit language. Must be 18 years of age to purchase.

What the Critics Say

"Bright's imprimatur guarantees heat sufficient to melt an ice floe. As her editorial picks generally do, these novellas deliver not just heat but laughter, poignancy and even the occasional deep thought." (Publishers Weekly)

Rather a Mixed Bag

I liked the first story about a witch who sold sexy spells, typical male fantasy I know, but it had humour and a hint of the male frustration inasmuchas whatever you wish for usually turns out not to be what you really want. Especially liked the fact that parts of the narration were dramatised. The second story was pretty strong, and bordered on being non erotic as it threw so much sex in your face. The final story seemed out of place, for although written and read in an engaging style, it was about a 14 year old, written in the style of a 14 year old, as if it were one of those campus films. Not very erotic and thankfully it did not go down the route that it signposted, and in the end left one wondering why it had been written, and perhaps more intriguingly why had it been included in the collection!
