Summary

When Lucy Fellowes is offered a dream house in the country she leaps at it. It's hard enough living in London on an uncertain income, but when you're widowed with two small boys it's even harder. And anyway, a rural retreat will bring her closer to Charlie, the only man in four years to make her heart beat faster. Perfect. Or it would be. If only he didn't belong to someone else...

Very enjoyable sort, with twists.

Loved this story, and liked the unexpected twists which kept me on my toes! Fabulous!

Laugh out loud funny.

This book made me laugh, yet it had a serious back bone. I'm choosing another book by Catherine Alliott right now.

Very enjoyable

Catherine Alloitt wrote a most enjoyable book. The main characters inner dialogue was hilarious! I have read both title she has with Audible and will be looking forward to more!

British equivalent to A Ronconi/M Harper ...

Few books make me LOL. This one did, plus smiles and snorts
.
Besides being funny it also has substance, it is definitely more than the usual chick lit

Do not expect a literary novel, but something more than just fun silliness.

Most of all i think the perfect combination of author and reader does the trick.

Certainly reminded me of A Ronconi and M Harper books.

I strongly recommend it!
