Fantastic historical western romance.

I really enjoy Linda Bridey's stories. She has the ability to keep the stories real and the characters human, quirky and endearing. Linda Bridey isn't afraid to write about the effects of darker emotions and seedier circumstances, which gives her stories lots of layers. This story lives up to Linda's usual standards. Renee and Tim face real challenges but they are an exemplary example of two young people rising above the challenges and allowing love to win.

Love Conquers All

Since I didn't read the first book in this series I thought that maybe I'd be lost, but I wasn't. "After The Storm" is the sweet love story of Tim, who is a chivalrous, patient and sweet man; and Renee who is a sassy, independent and strong woman. Their journey is not smooth at all..... Renee endures some horrible situations.....but their love is steadfast and enduring. This is a clean romance that tugs at your heartstrings and is a reminder that love conquers all.

I would say the narrator did a very good job overall. Her female voices were great...especially her voice for Renee. Renee's voice, at times, reminded me Mae West (the old movie actress). It gave her that "spicy" edge. Most of the male voices were good...but a few were whiney. Lol. But, to her credit, there were many male voices in this story and she made each voice unique.

This is definately one to try if you enjoy a good clean romance with a good plot. I will be checking out more books by this author.

This book was a delight to listen to so I would like to thank the author, narrator, or publisher for providing me this audiobook at no cost in exchange for my unbiased review.
