Summary

Football season becomes a time of realization that life's most important victories are won off the field. A star running back with much to learn, a younger player with much to give, and a woman with a heart for underprivileged kids - all three are thrown together into a time of self-discovery and a new awareness of the things that matter most.

Critic reviews

"Kingsbury's fans like her novels sweet, and this one may motivate them to get involved and make a difference with some of the neediest kids." ( Publishers Weekly)

lovely story

I really loved this book. Great story. the lady reading it had quite a weird way of pronouncing words, which I found off-putting initially. thankfully, I persevered and ended up being touched by a lovely story whoxh I didn't want to end.

So disappointing !

Would you try another book written by Karen Kingsbury or narrated by Kathy Garver?

I love Karen Kingsbury in spite of Kathy Garver and I have read most of her books. I have another book by Karen in my Audible library and I do hope that Joyce Bean has done a better job than this with Oceans Apart.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

I love listening and I bought Between Sundays because I loved the novel. I can listen for hours but this time one hour is more than enough! I enjoy reading more than once books that I really like and Audible has made ‘reading again’ especially enjoyable. Not this once. I am sorely tempted to hand this one back.
