Summary

Rome, AD 37. The emperor is dying. No-one knows how long he has left. The power struggle has begun.

But was Caligula really a monster?

An enjoyable read of a brilliantly written book

This story was excellently told, with poise and style. The description flows and the era is brought beautifully to life.

The narrator does a fine job of bringing the people and places to life in a great read.

Simply brilliant

I have long been a fan of Simons work, and he continues to write great works like this. Caligula provides a stunning alternative view of the young emperor in a tale of deceit, backstabbing and even Plotting Praetorians!
