COMPELLING, INTENSE, HOT... & JUST WOW
Well if the cover doesn't pull you in then the fantastic story will because, as always, Kym Grosso has delivered yet another awesome book and this one, as the title would suggest, is one hot listen..... but it's so so much more too. Billionaire Garrett is loveable, sexy, charismatic and all Alpha - he's CEO of a company that has Top Secret files but it primarily caters for people who want the 'extreme' adrenaline high lifestyle whether it's skydiving, mountain climbing, surfing or sex. And Garrett works hard but plays harder and he loves his life and the 'highs' it brings..... that is until tragedy strikes leaving him devastated.
So he is reluctantly forced to hire a new I.T. Specialist - the gorgeous intelligent Selby and she is the complete opposite of Garrett due to a childhood drama which causes her to have many anxieties, phobias and panic attacks. However, the saying 'opposites attract' proves to be so true in this case because as soon as she goes to work for Garrett the sexual attraction and chemistry is way way off the charts and he can't help but bring Selby into his world and skilfully teaches her to let go of her fears and sexual inhibitions and brings her darkest fantasies into orgasmic realities.
But there's someone trying to get to his Top Secret files which leads to murders, mystery, suspense, danger and plenty of drama and poor Selby has an important secret that she finds impossible to share.... until her world suddenly comes crashing down on her. And, as the body count rises, so too does suspicions, mistrust, tension, anxieties and tempers intensify because Garrett just doesn't know who to trust anymore and unfortunately this becomes toxic and heartbreaking to their new found happiness.
This is a gripping story with a very hot and wonderful romance surrounded and entwined around suspense and industrial espionage. There's quite a bit of personal growth as Garrett and Selby's characters slowly meld together because Garrett the lion may have started out as the predator in this story but Selby the lamb ends up taming her very contented lion. And, as we're introduced to the inner sanctum of Club Altura, there's a variety of interesting characters that drift in and out of the storyline.
Worth a credit? A great dual POV story and it's no wonder Ryan West seems to be picked to narrate all of Kym's books because his Hero's voice is perfect, there's clear differences between each of the character's voices and Ryan manages to do convincing and plausible female voices too which changes a good listen into a great listen. So, bottom line, this is a great start to a new series, definitely worth a credit and the Epilogue is a brief teaser for her next riveting well written book.

Not Immortals from New Orleans, but not bad
I felt like the introduction of the main characters was a little weak but the there was an unique storyline and, in Kym Grosso fashion, hot sex. I wish there was a little more focus on "The Gatherings" at Club Altura. Maybe there will be in later books. It's definitely worth a credit. Ryan West, the narrator was as good as always.
