I liked the way it ask the question about loyalty, and what that means in this post chaos world. Is your loyalty to your loved one or to your MC. It deals with family issues quite well.
I didn't like the mid way cheese fest. The characters start out being all tough and guarded and then they act like love sick puppies and it wasn't convincing to listen to.
I think it would come across better as words on a page but the narrator struggled to portray the manly voices, as any woman would in this particular story. The accents seemed off, you could barely tell characters apart because of it.
This would have served for better listening had they used two of three narrators.
The final chapter was good enough although a little predictable and some of the terms she uses for private parts sound silly.
So I was really hoping I would enjoy listening to this book more than I actually did. I thought the concept of this story was really interesting and different - a Post-Apocalyptic MC club. Cool! Unfortunately, it just fell flat. There wasn't enough backstory to make me care about the characters and the multiple point-of-views were confusing and very distracting. The story wasn't all that original either. There were so many blatant rip-offs from Sons of Anarchy that I could actually see the scenes from the TV show while I listened.
If you are looking for a good MC series I would suggest a Kristen Ashley or Madeline Sheehan book.

Would you consider the audio edition of Defiance to be better than the print version?
No because I did have a bit of a problem with Bishop's and Matthais accent.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Casper! He was a great character. Very well developed and had depth.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
Yes with some of the male voices. They sounded a lot alike.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When Silas picked Casper over his family
