Destry goes exploring the mound while listening to Dr. Daderga's lesson to his students in the background. Dowth is thought by scholars to be a burial mound and while nosing in the ancient chambers, Destry experiences ghostly voices from ages past. Rushing from the mound, she runs straight into Dr. Daderga.
Conor, having seen the gorgeous American with the bright eyes when she first arrived at the mound, is thrilled to have a chance encounter with her. Destry and Conor share a moment of complete, utter attraction before ancient incantations and ghostly visitations begin to lend clues to their past lives as an ancient king and queen, cruelly separated by an evil wizard. Soon, they find themselves caught up in a maelstrom of time shifts, landing them back in the Dark Ages of Ireland's history where they discover a high king's destiny.

What a fantasy!
Would you consider the audio edition of Echoes of Ancient Dreams to be better than the print version?
I loved the relationship between Conor and Destry. They had an instant rapport, and the story explains just why. ;) I think that the narrator Tim Campbell is a terrific voice and that's what makes the audiobook soo much more fun that the book! Plus I love being able to do things I want to do and listen to the story at the same time. It's soo much better than television.
What did you like best about this story?
I liked the story in that the plot is so creative, that the history described is so specific and colorful. The heat between the h and H is terrific, and fun too.
Which scene was your favorite?
I loved the scene when Conor and Destry meet the children for the first time. It was really heartfelt, and became more so as the story continued.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
You can always find a TRUE love...again.
Any additional comments?
I realize this story is a novella, I usually don't go for novellas as they always seem to seem too short. But this story was fantastic! I only gave it a 4 because I would like it to go further, and this rating system will not allow me to score half points, as in 4.5! Otherwise it was perfect. :)

Mythical Story Tale
The beginning of "Echoes of Ancient Dreams" began in modern day Ireland, where Destry, a physician, meets Conner, a professor of ancient Ireland. They were immediately drawn together, and were sent through time together back to the 900's.
A sorcerer was waiting for them.
Although more of a mythical story, it seemed to be written for children -- until the last 30 or so minutes, When they had detailed sex. Destry said, she felt dirty doing it with the children in the room, and that is how it felt listening to it.
I hung in there to the end waiting for something interesting to happen, I'm glad it was only a little over 4 hours long.
I've never read/listened to Kathryn Le Vegue before, but if this is a sample of her writing, I won't be listening to her again. Even the ending left a lot to be desired, you can use your imagine how you want it to end.
Tim Campbell has a nice voice and does accents well. His narration was the best part of the audio.
I was very disappointed.
