Excellent Narrative

I listened to this book each day whilst travelling to work on the bus and it transported me to Wales where the story is told. The writing and description is inspiring; the style of prose is impressive. All in all this is a beautifully written tale of discovery and understanding. Well worth a listen.

boring and getting nowhere

I also found this book boring and actually the style of prose irritated me. I felt that the author had set out, not to entertain, but to get as much twee prose in to win a prize( ...as in fact she did!!!) at the expense of writing an entertaining story. I struggled on to the end in the hope that there would be a 'twist in the tale'...but there wasn't and it just tapered off. I was glad I'd finished it, I must admit, and I wouldn't contemplate reading anything else of this authors and certainly wouldn't recommend it.
