Shame about the narrator

Great story, was just a shame (for me) the narrator didn't fit the character of Rachel. Felt like the story was being told by SatNav audio or Siri!! She also managed to somehow make the endearing character Jimmy sound a little bit creepy!! That said, well worth sticking with. Loved the story.

Wonderful story

Wow this book blew me away! It's hard to review without giving spoilers. It's a very emotional story but absolutely lovely. The only negative for me was the narration. I found it so irritating that I almost have up after a couple of chapters. So pleased I didnt though!

Tissues at the ready

I absolutely loved this book. It was heart reaching, but beautifully bitter sweet. Make sure you have some tissues with you though.

Not what I expected, a v good story

The story is well written, and pulled through to the ending which I hadn't expected in a beautiful way.
My only criticism (hopefully no spoilers below, I'll try to be vague so only those who've read it will understand) is that ....

I've been in the situation of the man at the end, the physical aspects of those last scenes in my experience don't happen quite like that, that said I've only witnessed it once so I could be wrong, and most tv shows that try to cover It get it wrong too. It was beautiful though, and I'm very glad I read this book.

Disappointed :-(

What disappointed you about Fractured?

I felt the lead character's life veered from one tragedy to another with an insufficient story line to link the tragedies. I confess I gave up listening!

What will your next listen be?

The Girl on The Train

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Personally I found her voice uninteresting.

What character would you cut from Fractured?

All!

Fractured

Would you listen to Fractured again? Why?

I'm not sure I would listen to I again because I now the ending. The story was one that I found hard to stop listening to. The only thing I would say is that to start off with I found Suan Duerden voice a little irritating

What was one of the most memorable moments of Fractured?

The last quarter was the most memorable.

Which character – as performed by Suan Duerden – was your favourite?

I found Rachel a very likable character aswell as Jimmy. They had a special relationship as friends.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It was not a book planned to listen to all in but it is a book you could sit and listen to without stopping.

Any additional comments?

It is not normally the type of book I listen to. I was but the story line intrigued me so I decided to give it a go. I am glad I did. it is a beautiful story.
