What did you like most about Francine?

Really original story about a fascinating and enterprising character determind to succeed against the odds

What did you like best about this story?

Not the usual historical novel. Francine could almost be contemporary.

Which character – as performed by Verona Westbrook – was your favourite?

It has to be Francine herself.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes.

Any additional comments?

I believe this is a "prequel" to further advertures of Francine — I certainly hope so.

Excellent Narration. Intriguing Novella!

Another TRULY unique offering by Alicia Cameron. A peek into the sordid and often cruel behavior of some of the upper crust men of the Regency era and the helplessness of many of the women. However, here we meet Francine who is a young woman of wisdom and courage and not a little daring...relentlessly making a difference in her own life and also in the lives of those browbeaten women who have been fortunate enough to cross her path!
