I am always taken in by the black sheep of the group, and with this series, it's Julian's story. Julian is part of the 4 that created the app "Blink" but due to his own personal circumstances was removed for the group by the others. He has had some major tragedies and difficulties to overcome, and after finally hitting rock bottom has begun to pull himself back up. Kendall is the twin sister of Lexi, and sister-in-law of Kade, also one of "Blink's" founders. Julian has hurt Kendall in the past but their connection has her drawn back to him. Now with his and her own rehabilitation, will this couple be able to survive and win over the others? This story to me has a lot of real life issues that are dealt with while still having Carly Phillips steam and love story background. We learn about bipolar disorder, drug addiction and broken families and how each can begin to be dealt with and conquered. This was definitely my favorite of this series.
Sophie Eastlake is one of my favorite female narrators. Her voice is warm and sultry and she can narrate both female and male voices to perfection. She has an easy pace and makes listening easy.
WOW!! This second chance romance certainly packs an emotional punch. Going in Deep is definitely an apt title.
I was very interested to see how Kendall and Julian's story would play out after the last book. I knew it would be a great story. I had no idea the story would be so emotional and raw, but boy am I grateful. It was a fantastic read.
There's a bit of something for everyone. This book is emotional, angsty, has family drama, steamy sex, and lots of puppy love. See what I mean? Something for everyone! LOL The main characters have faced very difficult circumstances, but both come out on top. It's a story of love, survival, and overcoming obstacles.
Kudos to Carly Phillips for writing another fantastic romance with depth. It's sure please her fans, old and new.
Audiobook Review: Narration performed by Sophie Eastlake. I've listened to a couple titles narrated by Sophie Eastlake. She does a great job bringing characters to life. I'd definitely recommend this title based off her performance.

This is a very different second chance romance. Julian and Kendall started off in a very toxic situation. Kendall wasn't managing her metal illness very well, letting it control her. Julian was addicted to drugs and using Kendall to get to her sister and bother-in-law. With all of that going on, you would think their reunion would have been a catastrophe. But they both did a lot of work on themselves and came back to the relationship happier, healthier and more mature.
I did not read the first book in the series and I felt like I should have. There was a lot of backstory that I feel like I had missed. Other Reviews mentioned that Julian was unredeemable when he was first introduced. The character development for both him and Kendal would have made it more interesting.
