I loved this.

I find it hard to define what it is about Anne Tyler's prose I find so compelling, it's sparseness perhaps, the matter of fact way she has of describing a thing, a person, like so much contemporary American literature but, at the same time, unique to her. I loved this book, loved Emily, Morgan and love Anne Tyler.
