1925, a damp wintry night in Berlin. Englishman Philip Gibson, in Germany to seek the answers to a tantalising mystery surrounding the Grand Duchess Anastasia, witnesses an attack on Natasha, a young woman who has fled from Russia. disappointed

had great expectations of this book but was bored sensless by the repetitive monologues and it seemed to go on for ever. not one of her best
