Summary

Nattevagt er en ægteskabshistorie om to personer med vidt forskellige baggrunde og holdninger, om proletaren, kunstneren og anarkisten Jørgen Hallager og om den pæne pige fra det bedre borgerskab, Ursula, der begge søger at udvikle og frigøre den anden fra tidligere bindinger, men misforstår og taler forbi hinanden med tragisk udfald.
