great, but Carl have better books

Great narrator, I will start with that. The book itself started a bit messy, but later on storyline came out good

hilarious

Although funny from the beginning, and love the narrator, was sometimes thinking where is this going but in the mean time being well entertained. There were so many laugh out loud moments that it at one stage became in decent to listen to the book in public. I enjoyed it and will now get another book of this author. My brother loved it too with the quirky people in it, it is hilarious.

Hilarious

I stumbled across nature girl when looking for other titles narrated by william roberts. I thought i'll give it a go and found i couldn't stop listening. Carl Hiaasen is one of the funniest authors i have read or heard since Tom Sharpe, His characters are simply the best just thinking about them brings tears of laughter to my eyes. I now have every Carl Hiaasen book in my wishlist.

Bit of a disappointment

I enjoy Carl Hiaasen's books. The mix of eccentric characters and the intertwined plots are always a treat. Most of the people in his stories have personality disorders of one sort or another and are all the more lovable and enjoyable for it.

I have a feeling that this this book would have been just as good as many of his others - but I just couldn't engage with it because I didn't take to the narrator. I love Jeff Harding reading Hiaasen's books and I had just listened to Sick Puppy with Nick Sullivan, which was great, but I'm afraid William Roberts, who read this one, just didn't do it for me.

So glad I discovered Hiaasen

I found this so funny, with great characters and such funny pictures painted, and with little throwaway lines that made me laugh out loud. I only discovered Carl Hiaasen a week or two ago and I'm very glad to find that he's written so many books to listen to. He creates a complete world of eccentrics and ordinary people forced into eccentricity by their situation. I really loved it. I'm just downloading another Hiaasen as I write this.
