Any slower this book would go backwards.

Would you try another book written by Sarra Manning or narrated by Colleen Prendergast?

Based on this book probably not.

What could Sarra Manning have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Written a book with a story. As the narrator said "the end" I was still waiting for something to acutally happen. This entire "story" could have been told in a quarter of the time by removing irrelevant fluff.

A slow start but persevere.

My only complaint about this book was its very slow start. Hope and Jack have been together forever but things are not fantastic, at least for Jack, and Hope is totally knocked sideways when he moves out. She battles against this loss whilst coping with her primary school teaching chores, parents who believe the break is all her fault and Jack's inability to make up his mind. The only bright spot is her growing friendship with Wilson, who she used to hate. The book improves immensely as it develops and, as an ex- primary school teacher, I related with nostalgia to the parts about her class room experiences, particularly the Christmas Pageant!
