Summary

The first day of Mia's new life in Grayslake, Georgia, is not going as planned. The house her grandfather left her looks ready to crumble, boxes cover every inch of the floor and - oh - there's a bear cub in her pantry. It gets worse when the cub's uncle comes by and busts out his fur and claws while on her front porch. Then it gets loads better because suddenly there's a hot hunk of badge-wearing werebear on her lawn ready to rescue her. Yum. Of course, he has to ruin things by trying to take the cub out of her hands. Ha! The cub is hers...no ifs, ands, or bears about it.

Werebear Ty can't seem to get the curvaceous, delectable Mia to understand that, even if she is one-quarter werebear, she isn't keeping the cub. Ty is the Grayslake Itan, the clan's leader, and the little werebear is going home with him. Unless it isn't. It's her smile. If she'd stop smiling and being gorgeous, his inner-bear would support him and Ty would get his way. But the beast wants to make his woman happy, so it's perfectly content to let her do as she pleases. Then things change. Threats arise, danger comes close, and Ty demands she return to his den. No ifs, ands, or mates about that.

Hard to Understand

Thought it was going to be cute but ended up being flip flopping and hard to understand. Got tired of it quickly.

Good read if you have patience

as someone with no patience I truly struggled with this one. if not for the fact I hate leaving a story have done I would've given up around the 5th chapter. the plot became a little predictable and "plot twists" became see able early on. otherwise this is a good read if you like books on shifters and their mates.

Bears and the shape shifting Sherrif.

I thoroughly enjoyed this light-hearted novel. I enjoyed it so much I have downloaded the others in this series, and when I have listened to those, I will branch out to some of her other books.

Ecstatic

I read this book when it first came out and I read ecstatic to see it on audible. If you like sexy shifter’s with a heart of pure platinum this is the book for you. I highly recommend this. When I was listening to it again it brought back so many memories. 🥰🥰🥰

Could almost bear it

Promising but frustrating start. Great action middle. Incredibly tedious ending. Mia starts off an interesting attractive character but devolves into a simpering whiny martyr. Ty starts off an arrogant manipulative a-hole and becomes bearable. But Poor Ty, everything becomes about what Mia needs are. Narrator has some fair moments but most of the time it felt like being read to by a primary school teacher. Story had good merit but doesn’t really deliver.

Love Celia Kyle

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I've never listened to this narrator before and she did a great job. I often enjoy reading the books as I listen but couldn't find it. However it's actually under a different title. If, like me, you enjoy to read as well, look under Grayslake and you'll find them. Happy listening 🎤📖
