Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
My time was well-spent listening to this audiobook, as it was just a short and sexy listen. The female narrator of this audiobook really brought the story to life. She sounds like she has the perfect way with words and was able to interpret the characters extremely well; I was drawn into the story through the animation in her voice.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
I have always enjoyed erotic romance books and will continue to read more. Unfortunately for me I wasn't quite as into the 'insta-love' that I found this story was based around. Personally, I would've delved into the characters and their personal lives a lot more, as I didn't connect with them as strongly as I thought I could've.
Which scene did you most enjoy?
Strangely for me, the scenes I most enjoyed were when Lucy was working on her project at work. I felt that it was those scenes that developed the story and helped us gain a greater insight into the characters.
Do you think One Night Stand needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
I enjoyed the latter part of the story the most, as I felt that we got to know the characters a lot more than in the beginning. More so, I think I would enjoy some sort of prequel, rather than a follow-up book.
Any additional comments?
Overall this audio book was a 3.5 star rating for me. I found the female narrator extremely easy to listen to but there just wasn't quite enough storyline to satisfy me completely.
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, It is a simple story with several twists that are unexpected yet good.
What was one of the most memorable moments of One Night Stand?
When George realized that he was more than a one night stand.
What about Katie Bunn’s performance did you like?
She made the story come alive.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Lucy is unwinding with a drink at a bar when she notices a husky man sitting near her. Even with his back to her, she's instantly attracted to his build and approaches him. Face to face, she's even more fascinated, and she strikes up a conversation. Besides his name, Greg, he shares very little about himself, yet Lucy finds herself more and more drawn to him. She invites him back to her hotel room, but when the night is over she finds it hard to watch him leave. Lucy is used to one night stands, but Greg seems like so much more.
This is my second book by this author, and this one was just as good as The Rebound List. The author writes heroes that are shy, insecure, or self conscious, and heroines that are forced to appear powerful and experienced despite what they felt inside. I found that really relatable. Lucy and Greg aren't used to relationships, and Lucy mentally dwelt on her insecurities often. Their emotional maturity level felt like they were in their low 20s rather than mid 30s. This book is very steamy with explicit love scenes. It's a novella length story, so the pair fall in insta-love, but that just leaves room for more steamy scenes!
The narration was well done, the book is set in England and the narrator speaks with a pleasant accent. She did a great job with the male and female character voices. I'll be listening to this one again for sure.
