not the best
I've listened to an enormous amount of Amish fiction and I also have a a thirty year friendship with a few Old Order Amish families. I have studied the Amish culture academically, but even so, I truly have a low bar when it comes to this sort of audio book. The story here is a bit far-fetched but not terrible. The reader performance, however, needs help. The Deitsch pronunciations are quite far off and the reader's voice is annoyingly forced. I got half way through it and I just couldn't do it anymore.
