Summary

Lexi wakes up in a hospital bed after a car accident, thinking it's 2004 and she's a 25-year old with crooked teeth and a disastrous love life. But, to her disbelief, she learns it's actually 2007 - and she's 28, her teeth are straight, she's the boss of her department, and she's married! To a good-looking millionaire! How on earth did she land the dream life??! She can't believe her luck, especially when she sees her stunning new home. She's sure she'll have a fantastic marriage once she gets to know her husband again. He's drawn up a "manual of our marriage", which should help.

But as she learns more about her new self, chinks start to appear in the perfect life. All her old colleagues hate her. A rival is after her job. Then a dishevelled, sexy guy turns up...and lands a new bombshell. What happened to her? Will she ever remember? And what will happen if she does?

Loads of the book is missing!!

I’ve read this in print and this is an abridged version of the story. Which wasn’t mentioned when buying. There’s so much missing it doesn’t even make sense in parts. With I could return it. Not good value for money at all.

Like it, but...

I like this book a lot, however, some of the story was missing? I have this book in hard-copy, and I'm pretty sure there were parts missing...

Why do you keep abridging?

I adore Sophie Kinsella's writing, and this is one of my favourites. However - like so many of the audio books of her work - this is abridged. That would be fine if it retained the charm of the original, but instead they've taken all of the wonderful details out. Whole scenes are simply missing, and what's left no longer sparkles. Please re-record this properly!

THIS IS ABRIDGED!!! Half the book is missing!!!!

Like half the story is missing I read the physical book years ago I thought I must have been thinking of any other book but no there’s like loads missing and it really takes away from the story it makes it all seem shallow and a bunch of stuff just doesn’t make sense it being abridged really should have been stated or I would have never brought it save yourself the trouble buy the physical book it’s so good it’s one of my favourites from this author so so disappointed

Why is so much missing

I’m really disappointed. The book is great - in it’s entirety. It’s missing loads of parts which make it more in depth. The narrator wasn’t bad but I just felt it a shame the book was cut so short

don't bother if you have already read the book!

I don't know why but half the book is missing it's like they have cut out parts to speed it up, and the narrator is just aufull, very monotone.

Simmer down version of the book

After a couple of minutes listening, I realised I had read this book and parts of story where being missed out. Leaving the main character looking very sallow.

Remember me

I actually enjoyed this story, it was quick to listen to, passed the time by on my commute to work. I found myself wanting to get back to the story.

I like the style of the author, it's fantasy mixed with want.

Lexi sounds like she has it all, but the author is clever and creative 'all is not everything, but sometimes nothing'

I'm a big fan of author and now to chose her next book 😀.

If you want a quick read that is not challenging and light hearted, then this is the book for you

Happy reading

Excellent Book

The story line is gripping as always. The book is a little shorter than expected. I really enjoyed the whole idea behind the book. It had bits of everything; humour, sadness and mystery.
