Summary

Lexi wakes up in a hospital bed after a car accident, thinking it's 2004 and she's a 25-year old with crooked teeth and a disastrous love life. But, to her disbelief, she learns it's actually 2007 - and she's 28, her teeth are straight, she's the boss of her department, and she's married! To a good-looking millionaire! How on earth did she land the dream life??! She can't believe her luck, especially when she sees her stunning new home. She's sure she'll have a fantastic marriage once she gets to know her husband again. He's drawn up a "manual of our marriage", which should help.

But as she learns more about her new self, chinks start to appear in the perfect life. All her old colleagues hate her. A rival is after her job. Then a dishevelled, sexy guy turns up...and lands a new bombshell. What happened to her? Will she ever remember? And what will happen if she does?

Abridged

Doesn’t actually mention its abridged when downloading. Narrator sounds like a newsreader unfortunately. Glad I can return this.

Too short and reader sounded bored

Way to quick big chunks left out. Was just getting used to the dry disinterested reader

Why is so much missing

I’m really disappointed. The book is great - in it’s entirety. It’s missing loads of parts which make it more in depth. The narrator wasn’t bad but I just felt it a shame the book was cut so short

Excellent Book

The story line is gripping as always. The book is a little shorter than expected. I really enjoyed the whole idea behind the book. It had bits of everything; humour, sadness and mystery.

Pretty poor listen

Narrator reads too quickly at times, hardly drawing a breath. Quite a short story for an audible book

Makes the gym easier

I'm a lover of Sophie Kinsella anyway, I have the paper versions and love reading them, but then I decided I was done with being fat, things had to change and I joined the gym, don't get me wrong it's a hard slog but having a funny, emotional and well written story makes the time go faster. Yes the main character loses her memory, so it's not relatable for the masses but the issues throughout the story do deal with real life problems, from falling in and out of love to workplace issues. Love the escapism of Sophie kinsella books, 2 stone down, my journey with audio books x
