Good Book

A typical and well written Roxanne St Claire novel and well narrated by Kaleo Giffith. The forerunner of another series for the Barefoot Bay stories.

Spoilt

I read this in e book format and enjoyed it so much I decided to buy it with the other two in the series in audio. The narrator spoilt it for me, I don't know why but a woman can make a believable mans voice not one voice but several but a man? This narrator being male all his women's voices sounded the same with a slight whiny tone and after four chapters I couldn't take anymore and went right to the end. So I know that I am going to send this and the other two books in the series back as they are all read by the same person. A good narrator can make or break a good book this series is broken for me, I only hope that Roxanne St Claire chooses someone totally different to read her next Barefoot series.

Secrets on the Sand by Roxanne St.Claire (Audio Edition)
Narrated by Kaleo Griffiths
The Billionaires of Barefoot Bay #1

♥ ♥ ♥ ½ This was a super quick read as it was a novella. The story was a feel good romance and I loved the plot of the hero getting his high school crush in the end. Mandy had a couple flighty moments which didn't make sense to me, and I sorta wished she’d secretly crushed on Zeke back in the day - but that's just me.

Zeke knew what he wanted and had the money to use that to his advantage. He seemed like a caring man and I felt he truly wanted Mandy, I just wish I had felt a bit more chemistry between them.

This is the first time I have heard a Kaleo Griffith's narration and while I like the tone of his voice and his clarity, I found he was quite breathy as if every conversation whispered - though perhaps that was the story as well.. it was very “hush hush” in parts. I would listen to another of his narrations.

Secrets On the Sand by Roxanne St. Claire

Great story! My first from Ms. St. Claire's Barefoot Bay series. Definitely hooked and looking forward to reading more books in the series. Loved the Geek wins the Princess theme, but loved the Geek turns Stud and shows them all even more, lol.
