What do you do when you find yourself suddenly single? Go suddenly suicidal? Suddenly sexcrazed? Or simply slump into self-pity? I did enjoy it in the end
I have listened to several books by this author and found to be 5* listens/reads. The meat of this one was also very good, but I agree with another reviewer that there was too much detail of the stock market and trading room. I had to skip a few chapters alltogether after the first couple, because (from the several bits of each one of those chapters that I checked) they seemed to consist almost entirely of shouting in the dealing room. This level of detail was unnecessary for the story. That said, when I got past about chapter 17, the dealing room stuff was at an appropriate level for context.
She is my favourite narrator and was faultless as usual.
If not for the high quality of the writing and my previous enjoyment of this authors work, I may have given-up and obtained a refund after the first half a dozen chapters. I am glad that I persevered though.
